It takes a village to raise a child.
It takes a village to heal an inner child.
It takes a village to live life because life is not a one person job; nature designed us to connect with each other.
"Attachment is the glue that holds everything together in the universe... [it is] the most profound and powerful drive known to humankind." - Dr. Gordon Neufeld, Developmental Psychologist and Co-Author with Dr. Gabor Mate of Hold On To Your Kids.
Attachment is a biological imperative; it is a fundamental need from cradle to grave. At no time in the lifespan is a human being ever meant to completely self regulate. We are wired to connect.
Your early attachment experiences inform all of your relationships, whether with a partner, a child, a friend, a colleague, or a neighbour - or with money, sleep, work, food, time or things. Your attachment experiences inform the work you do with every one of your clients, regardless of what they bring.
Whether you're working with issues around relationships, food, sleep, money, parenting, home or work, attachment is key.
Attachment is implicit; it is learned in procedural memory which means you can study it till the cows come home but like riding a bike, the only way to learn it is through lived experience. Attachment isn't a list of things to do, it's how you be.
As an Attachment Specialist I have rich, deep personal and professional experience that I am happy to share with those who feel called to stand by the science of attachment, measurable and proven with decades of research.
I am an approved DARe Provider of sessions - both personal and case consults - that count towards the requirements for the DARe Certificate.
I'm also an approved EFTi Mentor and provide attachment-focused mentoring to EFT Practitioners and TRE Students and Providers.
Feel free to book an introductory consult with me to chat about working together.
"Mentoring with Wildflower was a pleasure. We were a small closed group which created an intimate space to share and discuss issues and ideas, added to by Wildflower creating a safe space for anything that arose. Although Wildflower shared ideas, what was really valuable was the way she fostered our own sense of understanding and wisdom. I learned that I understood more than I realized and to trust myself more. This meant that I could draw on my own guidance when with clients with greater confidence. Thank you Wildflower for offering such well considered mentoring." -
